Part of a group of letters written 1877-1880 between John Northwood I and Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, during which time Northwood polished the pottery editions of the Portland Vase.
Memo instructs Northwood to go ahead with his suggestion of cutting cupid's feet on a pottery copy of the Portland Vase to make them proportional; also requested is a photograph of the completed work.
