This television documentary traces the design, creation and installation of a stained glass window "Proximity" by Peter McGrain (Crystal Silence Studio) for Strasenburgh Planetarium in Rochester, NY. In addition to the various steps in the making of stained glass, there are close-ups of the leading and copper foiling, the technique of sandcasting for making parts of the window, and a brief history of stained glass. Part of the program was filmed at the Corning Museum of Glass, and includes the Ravenna mosaic, the Tiffany window and a few other stained glass panels.
