Robert Truitt, glass historian.
Filmed during the annual Seminar on Glass, The Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, NY, October 16, 1992.
Robert Truitt discusses "Mary Gregory" glassware, originally thought to have been made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. His reasearch discovered that it is actually of Bohemian origin, and was made from the 1880s until after World War II. It was made primarily for export to English speaking countries and Mexico, and has been called by various names, including painted cameo.
