Dr. Robert H. Brill begins with a history of the Silk Road (40 min.) The next 15 minutes is devoted to glass objects found along the Silk Road and in Chinese museums (Chinese and Sasanian), a glass Buddha in The British Museum, faience necklaces, etc. He also discusses potash silicate glass found elsewhere in Asia, glass found in Begram, Afghanistan, and shards from Kucha.
