David Whitehouse, Director, The Corning Museum of Glass ; Jane Spillman, Deputy Director of Collections, The Corning Museum of Glass.
Filmed during the 39th annual Seminar on Glass at The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY, October 12, 2000.
Jane Spillman presents an interesting lecture about glass furniture and lighting from the early 19th century to the early 20th century. Some of the furniture is entirely of glass, while others have only glass panels or inlays. With the use of a slide show, Spillman includes catalog pages depicting a 30 foot floor lamp produced by Osler, Baccarat, and others.
