With the use of Lewis Dorflinger's personal diaries and correspondence, Kurt Reed gives an interesting presentation on the history of Dorflinger of White Mills, PA, and its relationship to some of the cutting firms of Corning, NY. He offers definitive proof that Corning, Hoare, Hawkes, and Sinclaire purchased blanks for cutting from C. Dorflinger & Sons.
