Jane Spillman provides a brief introduction to Venetian made and inspired glass, beginning with late 16th and 17th century. She compares English glass, glass in Jamestown and Williamsburg, 18th century English glass, and 19th century American and English glass, of which the styles reflect Venetian influences. Her lecture concludes with the art nouveau glass of Tiffany, Dorflinger and Carder.
