Study for stained glass window. Central pane represents 'The Dawn'; a woman, in pencil only, is featured between two columns, in light blue and brownish orange, connected by arch. The two outer panes feature green wreath with red ribbon and square patterns in blue, dark green, and brownish gold.
Two William Vareika Fine Arts Ltd. labels are affixed to backing verso. Information on John La Farge appears on one label and information on the watercolor itself appears on the other including "W50". Also affixed to backing verso is a colored copy of top right portion of watercolor. Displayed are handwritten notes penciled in that are otherwise covered by mat which has been cut to display only the three window panes.
