Whale's cross-section reveals gray labyrinth of Manhattan's buildings and blocks with whale's back and lower jar lined with cityscape; subway car path goes in from tail, passes eye, and goes out through spout, releasing subway cars and water.

Sís is an illustrator, author, and filmmaker who was born in Brno, Czechoslovakia in 1949. He collaborated with gaffer Chris Rochelle in June 2012 during his time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass.
