Notes:
This file includes Mencacci's "dossier": twenty-seven images of various projects for furniture, tableware, decorative objects, and a chandelier.
The Corning Museum of Glass partnered with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and presented this design program October 22-27, 2013 in the Tuileries Garden, Paris, France.
At the time of his design session at GlassLab, Mencacci was an instructor at the École Camondo of Les Arts Décoratifs; his students, Morgane Bertin, Blandine Cattani, and Florent Dufourcq, also participated in design sessions. Students in this five year program learn about various materials for design such as wood and metal. GlassLab provides an opportunity for designers and glassmakers to collaborate by using hot glass as a catalyst for innovation. This was the first opportunity for his students at the École Camondo to design for glass.
