Notes: 
Public announcement lists lectures, in two categories, held during the summer semester of 1825 at the Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften. The first category is for "Mathematisch-physikalische" and the second "Medicinisch-practische lehranstalt". Optics lecture, accompanied by experiments, to be given by Joseph von Fraunhofer.
Joseph von Fraunhofer was a German optician who discovered the dark absorption lines, known as the Fraunhofer lines, in the Sun's spectrum.

Small tear on upper right corner.
