2300° is an evening event hosted by The Corning Museum of Glass. The focus of this event is on "Worlds within: the evolution of the paperweight", a current exhibtion at the museum; and the acquisition of "Megaplanet" the world's first 100 lb. paperweight created by Josh Simpson. Visitors are entertained on the Hot Glass Stage with demonstrations by glass artist, Josh Simpson, and in the museum with music by the band Thousands of One. Throughout the video you can see Simpson explaining techniques as he works, although he is not heard on the video, there is background music only. Occasional shots of single papeweights in the exhibition are shown and identified by their labels.
