William Warmus Collection

William W. Warmus is a writer, curator, educator, art critic, and appraiser, whose collection contains more than 30 years of material documenting his work. As the curator of modern glass at The Corning Museum of Glass from 1978 to 1984, Warmus organized three landmark exhibitions – one of which traveled to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Louvre. He is the author of more than 12 books and has lectured widely on modern glass, abstract art, and the aesthetics of the natural environment.

The Rakow Research Library is working with Warmus to digitize his personal collection of lecture slides, images, journals, videotapes, books, and artworks on paper. When completed, these resources will be available to researchers interested in studying modern glass art and art criticism.
