Anna Mlasowsky | Behind the Glass

Anna Mlasowsky focuses her curiosity on studying the traditions and habits of glassmaking. “The way we evaluate a material and use its properties is defined by preconceived opinions and boundaries set by traditions,” said Mlasowsky. Her work seeks to challenge pre-formed behaviors and raise questions about reality and projection. In her lecture, Anna Mlasowsky discusses her work and its relationship to the work she created during her recent Specialty Glass Residency at Sullivan Park, Corning Incorporated’s global research and development center, where she focused on an exclusive process using proprietary glasses developed by Corning scientists.
