Bring the Heat: Tom Ryder

Watch Tom Ryder create two of his signature pieces, “Tree Vase” and “Sunset Vase” with sculpted flowers. Ryder demonstrates his technique of blowing a bubble of glass into the mold as sticks burn away to leave the imprint of tree branches on the surface of the glass. Colors for the vases will include marbleized blue colors over white as well as gold topaz and gold ruby mixed together to create a "sunset" color pattern.
