Connected by Glass: Vanessa German

Vanessa German is a sculptor, poet, and performance artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She uses mixed-media, found objects and sometimes blown glass in sculptures that celebrate the resiliency of Black people in the face of anti-Black violence. In April 2021, Ennion members were invited to this talk to hear from artist Vanessa German, whose work The Walker; for how to honor the price of compassion—how not to die of lies (https://www.cmog.org/artwork/walker-how-honor-price-compassion-how-not-d...) was recently acquired by the Museum with support from The Ennion Acquisition Fund.
