Glass Furniture and Lighting, 1820-1920 | Jane Shadel Spillman | 39th Annual Seminar on Glass (2000)

Filmed during the 39th annual Seminar on Glass at The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY, October 12, 2000. Jane Spillman presents an interesting lecture about glass furniture and lighting from the early 19th century to the early 20th century. Some of the furniture is entirely of glass, while others have only glass panels or inlays. With the use of a slide show, Spillman includes catalog pages depicting a 30 foot floor lamp produced by Osler, Baccarat, and others. Introduction provided by David Whitehouse. The 39th annual Seminar on Glass was co-sponsored by the Eastern Lakes Chapter of the American Cut Glass Association. Bib ID 66601
