New light on the Dorflingers of White Mills | Kurt Reed | 39th Annual Seminar on Glass

Filmed during the 39th annual Seminar on Glass at The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY, October 12, 2000. With the use of Lewis Dorflinger's personal diaries and correspondence, Kurt Reed gives an interesting presentation on the history of Dorflinger of White Mills, PA, and its relationship to some of the cutting firms of Corning, NY. He offers definitive proof that Corning, Hoare, Hawkes, and Sinclaire purchased blanks for cutting from C. Dorflinger & Sons. The 39th annual Seminar on Glass was co-sponsored by the Eastern Lakes Chapter of the American Cut Glass Association. Introduction provided by Jane Spillman. Bib ID 66603
